We’ve all got it to deal with to one degree or another.
There will always be someone who has an opinion they want to freely share when they probably shouldn’t. Always someone whose self-esteem doesn’t allow them to see us for who we really are.
We are not what we drive, what we wear, what we eat or even for that matter where we live.
But wait just a minute (and I want you to brace yourself here)… what if it’s actually we who are ‘they’?!
Scary thought isn’t it?
We Are Our Own Victims
What if every time we value (or de-value) someone because of their politics, their education, or the way they look, we actually hurt ourselves?
Surely it doesn’t make it easier to know that person or have them know us.
Once I went to a friend’s wedding reception in a borrowed car because it was being held at a country club and I couldn’t bear the thought of being seen in the common one I drove. How silly … no one even noticed but me.
You Already Own the Secret
What if the real secret to building strong relationships in our personal and business lives starts with changing how we look at the people around us.
What if it’s as easy as loving and respecting who we are first.
