Marketing of the SPAM variety has brought the hey day of email marketing largely to an end. And as surely as the day must follow night, we who want to market online to veritable strangers are having to modify our approaches.
The mere fact that tools like SpamArrest exist and even make sense to the average internet user to pay extra for it, speaks volumes to me and to the direction things are taking.
As I put this MLM blog thing together, it occurs to me that there are several ways a person could approach blogging for NWM prospects.
First, you'll have to decide whether it's customers or builders that you're aiming for. I have yet to figure a way to present a company that suits both type of person. More often than not those who attempt to do both at the same time wind up doing a fine job of neither... it's really just two different thought processes that have to be adressed.
So, ask yourself, is it a product stance or an opportunity/business point of view that you want to be coming from?
This blog is intended to attract builders and leaders (and those who will be coming along on this journey with me to grow into those shoes). So, what I have to be asking myself are things like ...
- what sorts of tools and resources do all networkers need?
- what kinds of links and freebies can I dig up to share?
- what sorts of topics are of interest to builders?
- how can I inspire you to personall grow in the way that we all must in order to be outrageously sucessful?
- what does my product do for people?
- what sorts of problems does it solve?
- what ingredients can be reviewed and expounded upon?
And another example is this page, which sets all the benefits of natural skin care in front of you and could easily then become a referral point for any number of companies with a natural skin care product.
Notice I didn't say ALL of the product line had to be skin care! What you want is to find a single product that is exciting enough to you to do all this 'history type stuff' on simply as a way of introducing foks to yourself and your company. There's plenty of time to introduce other products later ... once they feel comfortable with you and trust your opinions.
Target marketing online via content and keyword page optimization is headed our way FAST. Blogs are the perfect solution to what search engines want (fresh and original content for their searchers) and a really effective way of quickly becoming 'familiar' to our targeted prospects.
Once you're the expert, your recommendations will be taken far more seriously. It's got to be a hundred times simpler to market to someone who feels they know and trust you. Blogging is a way to put yourself 'out there' and let the world come to know you. At the same time, if you've chosen your article topics well (I find this tool handy), you also become a yummy morsel for the search engine spiders and we all know that free targeted traffic is the best traffic!
While the process is fresh in my mind, I think I should share the steps that I've taken to get this blog online and live.... but that'll have to be another post 'cause it's past time to get the kiddos in bed ;-)
